Ilahi

Ilahi

Ilahi is a celebration of restoration. A festive collection born from heirloom brocades, vintage tissues, Kota doriya and Chanderi that are reimagined into one-of-a-kind garments. Guided by the Sufi belief that abundance comes from honouring what already exists, Ilahi extends the life of deconstructed weaves through rafu, patchwork, kantha, micro-pleating and dimensional threadwork. Each piece becomes a continuity of memory, retaining the spirit of the old while finding new form.

The silhouettes reflect a refined, modern minimalism; layered tunics, overlays, co-ords, sculptural separates and signature shalwars rendered in muted corals, amethyst tones, earthy browns, blacks and silver-gold accents. Leheriya, checks, stripes and graphic block prints inspired by Bridget Riley echo restrained opulence, while zari-woven fabrics lend a quiet festive glow.

At its core, the collection embodies Urvashi Kaur’s long-standing commitment to circularity and mindful design. It is both a collection and a practice inviting patrons to bring their own heirloom saris and textiles to be upcycled and reinterpreted through the brand’s contemporary lens.
